Dude, that shit is heavy. I probably have almost 600lbs of extra weight all in, I should find a wiegh station one of these days for shits and giggles.

Back in my Marine Corps days, when you change duty station within CONUS and move yourself, you steal olympic weights from the gyms so when you do your weigh in you get more per mile.

Whoops I misread... you could totally DD this! The drivetrain (M30B35) is bulletproof, the real catch: the condition of engine accessories/the interior. If money has already been spent on those by someone else, you’re good. If maintenance has been deferred though, you’ll be in the usual “cheap used BMW” situation and spend 1-2k immediately on repairs. A good example should be *somewhat* reliable though. I had that motor/transmission in my 89 635 and it was still pulling hard at 165,000 miles.

More than anything, the basic used car inspection strategy guide. As far as e34 specifics:
the LKM are fidgety and cause the headlights to turn off but there is an easy repair for that.
a/c blend door motors and blower motora are a pain
replace ALL cooling system upon purchase
OEM radios do not age well
hood shock don’t last too long
be prepared to hunt for interior bits
